Following a very different 24 months of fundraising for our 2020 – 2021 charities – Mustard Tree and the Cornwall Birth and Baby Appeal due to the pandemic, we are looking forward to being able to organise and take part in some exciting fundraising events during 2022.

We are delighted to announce that following a staff vote, we will be supporting two charities during 2022 . The Teenage Cancer Trust and Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI).

Teenage Cancer Trust is a cancer care and support charity in the UK that exists to improve the cancer experience of young people aged 13–24. Founded in 1990, the charity’s key service is providing specialist teenage units in NHS hospitals. It also trains and funds staff who are teenage cancer specialists.

The Royal National Lifeboat Institution is the largest charity that saves lives at sea around the coasts of the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland, the Channel Islands, and the Isle of Man, as well as on some inland waterways. It is one of several lifeboat services operating in the same area.

We look forward to seeing what challenges our staff decide to take part in for local charities, which make such an impact in the communities we work in.

After 18+ months of networking events being virtual it was great to hear from the Director of Bluesky, Alison Quinn, about her first in-person event since the pandemic arrived in 2020.

Alison Said: “It was great to attend the Willmott Dixon Developing Leaders 2021 event in person yesterday at the iconic Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester. I really enjoyed catching up with old friends and colleagues and meeting new ones.”

Bluesky are delighted to be providing Lead Architectural design services for the new and modern Riverside Health Centre in Lower Broughton, Salford. We are working closely with Castle Gate, Salford Local Authority and Salford Clinical Commissioning Group on this project which will bring together two existing GP practices and Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust into a one stop destination for the local community.

Bluesky have provided architectural design services to over 20 primary, acute and mental health projects in recent years.

We are procurement cleared and are able to provide easy direct appointments through the NHS Business Services Framework.
